‘Pig’ to open Iranian Film Festival Cologne

Iranian feature film ‘Pig’ by Mani Haghighi is to inaugurate the fifth edition of Iranian Film Festival Cologne in Germany.

Besides the flick, a batch of 8 short films and 13 feature films has also been selected to screen at Cologne filmfest with 5 Iranian cineastes selected to serve as the jury members of the event.

‘Pig’ depicts the story of Hassan, a filmmaker who has not been able to make any films lately, but his admired starlet can’t wait any longer and wants to leave and work with another director.

Hassan Majouni, Leila Hatami, Leili Rashidi, Parinaz Izadyar and Ali Baqeri are among the flick stars.

Haghighi's 'Pig' will appear on the silver screens in Iran soon. 

The festival is dedicated to Iranian cinema for four days.

The Iranian Film Festival Köln under the banner "Visions of Iran" is slated to be held on May 31 to June 3, 2018 in Cologne, western Germany.
